How do I set up my mailbox with shared hosting?

Setting up your mailbox on our shared server is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to create and configure your email account:

Step 1: Access Plesk Control Panel

  1. Log in to your Plesk control panel. Typically, you can access it by navigating to https://yourdomain.com:8443 in your web browser.

  2. Enter your Plesk username and password to log in.

Step 2: Create an Email Account

  1. In the Plesk dashboard, navigate to Mail from the left-hand menu.

  2. Click on Create Email Address.

  3. Fill in the following details:

    1. Email Address: Enter the desired email address (e.g., user@yourdomain.com).

    2. Password: Enter a strong password for your email account. You can also click Generate to create a strong password automatically.

    3. Mailbox: Ensure the Mailbox option is checked.

    4. Mailbox Quota: Set the mailbox storage limit, if applicable.

  4. Click OK to create the email account.

Step 3: Configure Email Client (Optional)

You can access your email via webmail or configure an email client like Outlook, Apple Mail, or Thunderbird.

For Outlook:

  1. Open Outlook and go to File > Add Account.

  2. Enter your email address and click Connect.

  3. Select IMAP or POP settings (IMAP is recommended for synchronizing across devices).

  4. Enter the following details:

    1. Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com

    2. Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com

    3. Username: Your full email address.

    4. Password: The password you created.

For Apple Mail:

  1. Open Apple Mail and go to Mail > Add Account.

  2. Select Other Mail Account and click Continue.

    2. Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com

Step 4: Access Your Mailbox via Webmail

  1. Open your web browser and go to https://webmail.yourdomain.com.

  • Ensure your domain’s DNS settings include the correct MX records.
